We pride ourselves in constructing, managing and maintaining all types of outdoor spaces; ensuring that the clients and end-users are at the heart of service. Our team are all trained in practical land management with the relevant technical accreditations and practical conservation knowledge. Together this provides our clients the assurance that our service is safe, efficient, of the highest quality and practical to fit to the needs of users both during and on completion of projects.

OUR SERVICES

Landscape Creation: we have experience in building a diverse mix of landscapes; from large scale restoration and remediation schemes to small scale schools grounds. We are expert in ensuring that all space can be used to its fullest potential for end-users and for local wildlife.

Access Creation & Management: The Countryside Rights of Way Act 2000 requires that authorities and land owners are required to maintain rights of way open, safe and accessible to the public. Wildscapes offers a comprehensive Rights of Way installation and maintenance service; delivering high quality, fit for purpose access
infrastructure including footpaths and bridleways.

Boundary Improvements: boundary improvements such as the installation of new fencing, dry stone walling, gates or vehicle barriers will ensure your land is protected from unwanted visitors or animals. Due to our experience of managing large landscapes such as nature reserves or Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) schemes, we understand where boundaries should be installed and the most appropriate to the circumstances. We use locally sourced materials wherever possible and ensure all of our timber is of FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) standard.

Habitat Creation: whether our clients are required to re-instate lost habitat via the planning process or are investing in local green infrastructure for employees or communities, Wildscapes has extensive experience of creating a range of natural habitats such as ponds, wetlands, woodlands or artificial habitat such as otter holts, badger setts or water vole ditches. With the in-house quality assurance of our Landscape Architects and Ecologists, we ensure that we meet our clients’ design requirements and Natural England specifications.

Conservation Management: Wildscapes works with landowners required to manage their landholdings to Local Wildlife Sites, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) or Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) standards and with conservation organisations implementing enhancement or restoration works. Our experience includes woodland, wetland, meadows and heathland management, as well as maintenance for grazing infrastructure, firebreak creation and scrub clearance.

Invasive Species Control: The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and Town and Country Planning Act 1990 requires that landowners and tenants take all reasonable steps to control invasive specie. Japanese knotweed in particular can compromise the structural integrity of buildings, paved and tarmaced areas and as a result, reducing the amenity and commercial value of a site. Wildscapes can advise on appropriate management and control techniques for problem species; and is licensed to undertake practical injection and removal from site.

Grounds Maintenance: Wildscapes provides competitive grounds maintenance services for a range of clients. We specialise in nature reserves, schools, neighbourhood parks and housing landscapes, bringing real quality to some of the most challenging urban locations. Our experience of involving users results in a safer and better-valued outdoor environments
