WILDSCAPES GETS TOP MARKS FOR SCHOOL LANDSCAPING

Wildscapes’ landscape design services have helped two Sheffield schools to maximise the educational benefits of their outdoor spaces. Staff at both Dore Primary School and Dobcroft Infant School have praised the company for its high quality work and the way Wildscapes co-operated closely with school management teams to minimise any disruption during the construction period.
Deputy Headteacher at Dore Primary School Matthew Winson said: “Wildscapes were very helpful in the way they worked with us to organise the build. The construction area was completely cordoned off and they consulted us on issues such as the times at which heavy machinery could be moved on or off the premises to ensure there was no risk to pupils.”
The project involved removing old steps and overgrown shrubs from the school grounds and building a bespoke timber amphitheatre which is used for outdoor storytelling and drama performances.
At Dobcroft Infant School our land management team enhanced the biodiversity of the schools Green Flag accredited wildlife garden.
The school called on a range of our services, including landscape maintenance and pond work to installing rustic furniture and creating planting schemes.
Teacher Collete Waters now describes the grounds as “a community wildlife garden which is open to the general public for outdoor learning.”
She adds: “Wildscapes have a fantastic level of customer service, an amazing range of skills and all the work they delivered was to a high standard with a great level of sensitivity to our needs. I would recommend their services to other schools who want to make the most of their surrounding grounds.”
If your school is interested in the services we offer call us on 0114 279 2667 to arrange an informal meeting.
