Wildscapes

Wildscapes has just completed a project to enter biological records– sightings and surveys of wildlife submitted by local residents - onto Rotherham’s Recorder 6 database. The Rotherham MBC contract was for 80 days work which adds up to 600 hours of data entry altogether! As well as one member of staff 12 volunteers were involved in the project, receiving training and valuable experience for their CVs. Long-term volunteer Julie Riley contributed 230 hours to this total and says, “I’ve learnt how rich and varied wildlife is in Rotherham, and that local people really care about making sure it is recorded.”
