Nick has worked as a consultant ecologist for over five years on a diverse range of projects including motorway widening schemes, wind farms and pipelines. His particular expertise is the surveying and mitigation techniques for the protected fauna species in the UK. Nick has successfully applied for European Protected Species Licenses (EPSLs) and has a strong commercial and construction based background through a previous career.

Nick is a licensed bat and great crested newt surveyor and has been involved in several projects including his Masters thesis on hibernating bats in railway tunnels.
