Our Team
I have experience of a range of countryside managment/conservation work including: dry-stone walling, fencing, access furniture, maintaining Public Rights of Way, drainage, heathland restoration, wetland creation, hedge-laying, scrub clearance, tree felling, meadow management and invasive species control. I have worked in the past as a ranger for Peak District National Park, as a Volunteer Officer at BTCV and for the Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham.
In my spare time I can usually be found clinging to a local crag. I also enjoy walking, mountaineering, taking photos and continuing to volunteer as a National Park Volunteer Ranger. Im a big fan of the outdoors and the natural environment in general. Its a pleasure to be able to work in locations where I would choose to spend my lesiure time.
Alex has the following certificates:
- CS30 (maintenance of a chainsaw)
- CS31 (felling small trees)
- CS32 (felling trees over 380mm diameter)
- PA1 & PA6 (pesticides using a hand held sprayer)
Alex is also competent in operating a brushcutter and a woodchipper.
